Always liked this song, though it's taken some years to re-appreciate it.

(16,646 posts)Back in the late '70s I had a show on the college station at about 10 pm. I'd play that song frequently and every once and a bit someone would call in to know "what's that crap". When I'd tell them it was 10cc, they'd usually tell me I was full of it.

(16,646 posts)Perfectly fine song. But when you are a DJ, and every third caller requests the darn thing, you can get sick of it REAL fast.

These days you could sample all the voices and control them via software automation... It would take minutes to do versus the hours this took.
Such dedication and patience to be an engineer in the days of tape.
