(10,252 posts)I love Lady Gaga too. She is a warm and compassionate person. Very authentic. She also is a talented musician with a voice trained at Julliard.

Not sure what it is about older guys and Lady GaGa but they love her. It's TOO cute!

(23,078 posts)It was funny, years ago he pooh poohed her just based on her image without knowing anything about her. Then one night he saw her sing on tv, and oh man, did his attitude change. He lit up like a christmas tree, so excited to hear her brand of music & see the show she puts on. He went to the computer and ordered several of her CDs and still follows her and loves her.

(2,563 posts)Your humble is sixty-nine. I thought she was just another creation of the music industry's Celebrity Factory: all flash and image with no talent. Then I saw her on the tube, singing moving (and hilarious) duets with both Elton John and Kermit The Frog. I realized that she was an extraordinarily talented person whose antics were actually a subtle critique of the music industry's current shallowness.
It helps that she's very good-looking, too.

(5,106 posts)It probably got her the attention she might not have gotten by her talent alone, sad to say. As an older person (child of the Sixties, but still...) I was put off before I heard sing beyond her first hit.

(5,731 posts)Saw the House of Gaga, which is like a museum! Has all her most famous costumes, including the "Meat Dress" (thankfully lacquered or something). I thought it was a store, but there is very little for sale, just a few t-shirts and some gorgeous leather jackets. It is free and really worth seeing!
