Presently, I have one deaf rescue, my second deafie. My first deafie lived to be 15. They are wonderful dogs and make great pets. The most intuitive dogs I've ever had. I also have one hearing rescue, whom I love, but all my doggos from here on out will be deafies. So far, I have found they don't bark as much as hearing dogs and are more anxious to please. They pick up sign and body language quickly and just know that's how you will talk to them; it's all they know.
