THIS is however one of the reasons we need to keep our dogs secure when in a car. If the driver needs medical attention and the dog will not let the paramedics near the driver will get worse or die depending on injuries or the police will shoot the dog. Keep your dog buckled in, crated, or leave them at home. If you are walking and have your dog ALWAYS have it leashed so someone can take the leash and pull the dog away if you need medical help.

Adopted a dog from the city pound. When the ambulance got to the city...about 30 minutes later, dead of night...there was the dog, balanced on the ambulance step-up! A children's book was written about them later.
