Walk for time. Walk out the front door for 10 minutes, then walk back and that's a 20 minute walk. Build it up from there a minute at a time.

2 Get a Fitbit or similar and set a realistic daily step count.

3. Download podcasts for when you are out walking.

Even my mean doctor likes this change in me. Just getting out and having a fun Pokemon step counter has helped. (I don't evolve my critter unless I've gone a certain number of steps!). Podcast of choice? - Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me and Savage Love

Rachel Maddow, Stay Tuned with Preet on Stitcher and a few others like that.

Actually my son signed me up for Audible last Christmas and it's been great....just finished Catastrophe by Max Hastings, and have just started Blowout by Rachel Maddow.

Above all, the fitbit has been fantastic for me. I have a sedentary job and before I got the fitbit watch, if i walked 1000 steps a day, it would have been a lot. Now my minimum is 5000, but my average is 7,500.

Back in 1981 when I was 22,that is no easy task in itself much less after losing over 100 lbs!

Good going!
