In OK.

In camp every summer, Counselor in Training for 3 summers, and camp counselor in Grand Rapids CFG camp 1 summer while in college.

As you can tell, I loved the whole experience. Still remember many of the songs, have my ceremonial dress. Too small now. Sigh

About 16 or so yrs ago I learned that many here in town were getting 2 Torchbearers.

1 of the girls in our CFG group worked like mad piling up the beads. When she put the leather hanging (forgot the right name) over her gown, every spot on the entire edge was hung with a string of about 20 or more beads. Truly something else.

One of the beads we all were encouraged to do was start a life-time bird-sighting list. I got fascinated by red-winged blackbirds and was stunned when after marrying I moved to IA and there was one on nearly every fence post as we would drive on country roads past the farms.
