I hate it when a day in clinic makes me re-think my life's choices. It's the best decision I've ever made. But it isn't easy...

Thank you for joining me...

I fell asleep for a while. I can only stay horizontal for five or so hours at a time so I'm up now.

I am thankful for the vast majority of healthcare workers, especially those who work in clinics. I have been literally saved by nurses more than once and I recognize how much of yourselves goes into the work that you do. So I'll say thank you for all who are in your care!

I hope the buzz helps you get through the hard parts when you are on your own.

Soaking wet, drunk, incontinent of urine and stool, and reporting a head injury with loss of consciousness some twelve hours before. He had fallen down and hit his head, and sustained a pretty bad abrasion to his left hand.

I got a culture of the abraded skin, cleaned and dressed the site, prescribed some empiric antibiotics; then we got him into the shower and got him some clean clothes. Then I sent him to the hospital for a head CT.

It was a bit of a day...

I've helped things along with some sublingual Indica.

Since achieving oblivion would mean I couldn't talk to my DU friends, I won't be seeking oblivion. But relaxation and a swimming head work well enough...

It was a team effort, though. My MA Supervisor was the one who thought to get him some clean dry clothes. We have a food pantry and donated-clothing closet downstairs from the clinic. He's the one who makes sure it's always fully-stocked.
