1. Earlier this month...

my farming partner and I were trying to figure out who/what was eating some of our corn. Only ears low on the stalks were half eaten, silk and kernel halfway down the ear. We have deer but they were never in that part of the fields.

Then, as I was leaving a few evenings later I had to wait for a large porcupine to cross the driveway as it was leaving the corn patch. I then knew who it was and this little guy came to mind immediately. I need to send this video to my farming partner, he'll laugh.

As it was, we had plenty of corn from the field and we usually expect to donate some of our crops to the wildlife, including the bears who cross the property to get to the apple orchard across the road.
