3. Several years ago took this flight..son (ret Navy) was graduating his ROTC

cadets at Hilo..I was hoping to take the ferry but they had stopped running to Hilo..yes, is a short flight..thanks for this msongs..spent 10 days, first time on Big Island..loved Kona..and all that Hilo had to offer...

5. How Ironic that I am half native Hawaiian

And never been to Hawaii....I have been to Tahiti..not close but it was beautiful!

I did meet some Polynesians there, said I could be related to them...maybe! who knows! I just know that my grandfather was a kahuna though I have never met him. My parents left Hawaii
for some reason they will never talk about. They live in Las Vegas now while I chose to remain behind in beautiful San Francisco. I am never leaving, unless its a visit to Hawaii.

I never flew into Hilo, only Kona, as my daughter's school was up the Kohala coast in Waimea ("Kamuela&quot , but the trajectory leaving HNL was basically the same. Those WERE the days!
