I wanted pass out frozen chicken patties for Halloween this year

Our local grocery store sales them probably 20-25 for $10 a bag. They do the same with breaded fish flanks frozen meatballs usually food they do not sale that they make from their hot bar the boys and friends love them for after school snacks. So I scored this morning at grocery store. So I was just talking to my wife she’s traveling for work.

So I said to my wife let’s switch it up will pass out. Frozen chicken patties frozen meatballs and frozen cheese sticks. She then told me we’re doing candy ok dear your in charge I then added the same old vanilla Halloween for 33 years I need variety.

the frozen chicken patties in the freezer when they get home and the family Labrador retriever decides to help himself to a sample or three. That’s what would happen in my house.

I give you credit for thinking outside the box, though

... My parents were away, and I was an asshole now that I think about it.

The kids were sad, and I kept the Snicker's bars for myself.

Frozen items must be kept frozen until ready to thaw and cook. Re-freezing frozen items that have thawed (and kids may leave their sacks of goodies around for some time) is a total no-no: dangerous bacteria can cause serious if not fatal illness. You could get majorly sued.

Listen to your wife: Halloween is about candy (crappy candy usually). Stick to it.

Decades ago (during the razor-blades-in-apples scare), we decided to give out cute pencils and erasers to kids. The dirty looks they gave us ended that practice immediately.

Namely, Dole Tropical Fruit Salad...which is both very tasty and packaged in a can too big around for little kids to throw like hand grenades.
