...fans such as I, think that was because last fall, a completely awful dancer won due to fan votes. A guy by the name of Bobby Bones. A radio personality, IIRC, that I'd never heard of before the show. The judges were shocked, the other finale contestants were shocked, and non-Bones fans were pissed. ABC took some heat for it.

Besides Rick Perry and Bristol Palin, they have had Tom Delay and Tucker Carlson. Bristol is the only one who got very far. She clomped around like she was wearing cement overshoes. Utterly execrable.
