otherwise be absorbing each and every bump. School buses and city buses offer a rigid, uncomfortable ride for passengers... but the drivers have to be on board for several hours -they'd have back problems and who knows what other problems if they didn't have the springy seats.

The drivers I see always have a seat belt holding them in place- maybe his was defective??
