Now lists are taking over my life - and sometimes I can't remember where I put my lists!

(34,120 posts)Some days I forget to open the app to check for what I'm supposed to do.
I think I need to make it my home page on my browser.

(34,120 posts)Once I lost my phone for almost a month. Of course the battery had run out so calling it was no help. Eventually my husband cleaned out his car and found the phone under the seat. I have no idea how it got there or even when.
The app - Cozi - works on phones, tablets, and computers and can coordinate several people's calendars. When my husband was commuting 90 miles to help take care of his dying mother, he and his siblings used to keep track of who would be with her when. I can put our shopping list on it and he can pick stuff up if he is in town by logging in on his phone. And it has been invaluable to help keep track of my constant doctor's appointments.

(34,120 posts)It would have saved us a lot of hassle when he lost his phone in Scotland. He never did get it back and had to use a cheap burner phone for much of our trip.
But - would it have worked on a phone that might have fallen in a loch?

(51,308 posts)Pretty sure I left it in a bus, but I was unable to use that there anyway.
Its pretty cool though; it will show you where the phone is and will cause the phone to make a sound when you activate the sound function.
Mine is usually missing in my car or home lol, so that works great!

(34,120 posts)That was the problem - he looked something up, thought he'd stuck in his pocket but it wasn't there later. I've just installed it on my phone - then I found out that Google has it's own "find your device" app and so does Samsung. Of course, neither of those would have helped since he didn't have any sign in information and couldn't remember his passwords even if he had his ID memorized.
It took a few minutes to properly locate my phone - it placed it a couple of miles to the southwest at first.
Next trip we will be better prepared.

I was really bummed about that at the time lol.

(34,120 posts)But I averaged around 200 pics a day on my camera, so we didn't really lose much. We've been back nearly a month and I am still sorting through pictures to post on the blog. I'm up to September 14, so maybe I'll finish by the end of the year.
The real bummer was that we'd planned to upgrade his phone when we got home and I was going to get his old one. Well, that turned out to not be a huge bummer - we both got new phones, so it's all good, other than the bill to pay for them.

(34,120 posts)Plus, I love that I can make lists and my husband can check them before he comes home - if he remembers to refresh his phone, that it.
The other part I use a lot if their calendar. I can enter appointments right at the checkout desks of my doctors. No more having to ask them to call so I can check my desk calendar. And I can check on my computer while at home to see what is on the schedule for the next week, or weeks ahead. I just use the free version, so I do see ads but it does everything I need.

the stove or an appointment and although I'm pretty sure that it's all cool,
I still feel edgy, like a radical with a bomb in his pocket.
