Who is a DIYer and very good at math?

I'm looking for a math formula to determine how many bricks I need for a simple circular pathway. Brick cutting will be minimal, since I want to use the soldier technique to layer the bricks. Simple is always better.

Dimensions are as follows:

93" diameter circle. The path would go around this, either three or four brick wide path.

Bricks are 4W x 8L x 2H

I'm using old bricks which I plan to stain, so I need to know how many I absolutely need for this project, since the bricks are quite useful and I use them for other purposes.

1. figure out circumference of 93" circle, divide by 8 inches, number of bricks on inner circle.

If you just put a walkway on gravel, they'll make nests below. You wind up with mounds of gravel and a wobbly walkway.

I figured around 120-123.

Baitball, if you already have the bricks, you could also lay them out where you want them as a sort of "dry run" to see exactly how many are needed before you start staining.

Whst, by the way, is the soldier technique?

The bricks follow each other like soldiers marching in parade
