Last night, I missed my chance to talk with Mrs. Santa Claus.
I have tinnitus. I leave the radio running all night. Boston's WBZ has a good non-political late night talk show. I listened to it last night -- actually, early this morning. At first, the conversation was about a record store in Boston that would be closing by the end of the year. The store's owner, Skippy White, talked about the record business and the sadness of the demise of one more think that I always took for granted.

At 2:00 a.m., though, Mrs. Santa Claus came on. I was really tempted to call in, but there was one problem. The talk show host kept saying that there were open lines, but I didn't hear the station's number. Although WBZ usually comes in as if it's across the street, I couldn't hear, with clarity, the numbers when the host did give them. 3:00 a.m. came, and Mrs. Claus went. I hope she comes back again next week. I had some things I wanted to talk about.
