1. "It's the simple things you treasure."

"And it exploded."

The wonderful thing about GQ is it made a lot of fun of Trek, SciFi, nerds and fandom, but it was loving fun, never mean.

2. Love it

I haven't seen this movie in years. It's a gem. I need to watch it again.

3. My family loves that movie

It is one of those rare films that is both a satire and an homage to the same thing it is satirizing. The Princess Bride is another example.

5. I first saw him in "Robin Hood"

and he was captivating as the Sheriff of Nottingham.

A great actor.

7. I always think of Galaxy Quest as an absolute love letter

to all the fans of Star Trek.

I'm not a trekkie, but I love Galaxy Quest. Cannot tell you how many times I have watched it. It makes me howl with laughter.

Tim Allen doing Shatner is priceless.

But most of all, being able to watch Alan Rickman doing anything is the best part of it. How I loved that man.

Thanks for posting this. The trailer was great!
I think it's time for another viewing of one of my favorite movies.
