So, anytime you want to to?
Oh, we are using the calendar of the current Empire, which got if from the RCC. It was introduced as a reform of the Julian calendar in the Roman Catholic church, since the 20th century in de facto use worldwide.
Me? Oh, maybe I will begin the new decade this week or so. I am not sure.

(23,152 posts)about what to call the new decade. In the last century, we had the Twenties, the Thirties, the Forties,....Nineties.... Nobody could come up with any good ideas. I joined the discussion and promptly came up with "the Aughties"! As in "twenty-aught-one," "twenty-aught-two," "twenty-aught-three," etc. All those young pups had never heard of zero referred to as "aught".
So what did we decide to call the next decade, from 2010 to 2019? Easy--"the Teenies"!
