Star Wars Movie..(how it did financially)??..No I did not see it yet...no plot info here, just money

Last edited Sun Dec 22, 2019, 03:36 PM - Edit history (2)

The Rise of Skywalker...has brought in 70 per cent of the money that The Force Awakens brought in during the first 3 days in the U.S.A.

2015...Force Awakens............1st..3 days ...$247.000,000 ......domestic Box Office ...in U.S.A.
2019...The Rise of Skywalker .1st .3 days ...$175,000,000 ......domestic Box Office ...in U.S.A.

Note: "The Force Awakens" is the highest grossing movie ever released in the U.S.A....

However, if one corrects for inflation...according to Box Office Mojo...the highest grossing movie, if corrected for inflation would be...."Gone With the Wind..1939..Above numbers on domestic Box Office also from a site called ...Box Office Mojo.................................... You can see all the numbers of Movies here:........

It's at #135

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - 1937, is the next oldest at #10.
(And that's with the majority of tickets sold at children's discounted prices.)

I can stay there for hours looking up numbers for old movies and how much money they took in, and how they did compared to other movies in different times and dates....

So, I stood in line for ....Star Wars II...or V or what ever in 1979....and I was very mad after the last credit came on the screen, and I realized there was another in the set..I thought that would be the end of the Star Wars movies.....That one was called, "The Empire Strikes Back...

...I walked out of the theater swearing about having to come back again..for another one to see the end of the story....Well there was another one..after that it was called, "Return of the Jedi.....

Sixteen years after that...there was another...it was "The Phantom Menace" 1999 ..........................only one question....but I know the answer....Why did they make another after the first three???

answer: ONE WORD ONLY: money, money, money, money and more money.. (ok it was 3 words)..
.........................................money, money, money, money and more money...
.........................................money, money, money, money, and more money...
