Every morning boog wakes up and looks under the tree. Nothing yet man WTB what the biscuits is taking Santa so long. He understands remembers tree in living room equals toys and treats for him. And as we sit on back porch knucklehead is laying next to me wrapped up in blanket. As I sit on top steps having my pipe and coffee. I ask him do you think you will score from Santa this year.
And boog tells me through tail wags and licks and being pushy. For me to rub his ears and muzzle yes man Ill score. See man Santa is very lenient when it comes to naughty and nice. I have more nice than naughty on my Santa report. So I am on the list for toys and treats and turkey I love turkey man.

Thanks for the good laugh. We have a 11-lb yorkie & she likes our tree when its lit up. I also wonder if she'll think she should mark it. She has sniffed the gift bags wondering if any of them are for her to eat She is the most loved in our house given our young adult children & even the inlaws love to give her attention when they visit. We have no grandbabies yet so the yorkie fills in.

(5,366 posts)And labs have perfected the friendship.
My two tail wagers aren't Labradors, we had those in the past, but are the next best thing.
Eat the same thing twice a day, stuff a human wouldn't eat, yet show the same enthusiasm each time. The perfect machines for turning horrible food into energy, love and lawn fertilizer!
And yeah, talk to your dogs. They understand more than you think.
Merry Christmas to Boog and his family. Give him a hug from me.

(25,816 posts)I have my kids visiting. My Army son had me watch 'Two Weeks in Hell"
on Netflix to see what he'd be doing after jump school, which starts the
first week in Jan.
Cloudy and cool here--big fire in the woodstove--sharing gifts and laughs
and Jeannie's great Terlingua chile.
Give boog a scratch for me.

(512 posts)And of course to Mrs TEB, the boys, Boog, Mr Big Paws and Bob. Hoping you all have a joyous holiday season and that Boog will not try counter surfing with all the cooking going on. My Elliot grabbed the turkey off the counter that I had cooling. Was in the living room and heard a thud. He had it by the drumstick. After grabbing it back, I had to laugh. I should have known better. Oh well, life with furbabies.
Merry Christmas to all on DU. You help me keep my sanity.
