I've worked in 10 below weather, but I don't know what the wind chill factor was.

(24,446 posts)1. I've been -45 degrees .....that was intense.
800' elevation, 50 mile views to the Bigelow Mountain range. Not much else. I had 2 wood stoves and minimal oil/fhw. Total OK, but did not go outside.
On edit - that was windchill....

Twice in Fairbanks in high school the high for the week was thirty below. My dad was in the Army there. I think making people live there is a crime against humanity.

I've always wondered how cold it was that day if you included the wind chill factor.
The really fun part was, I had to stay out in that weather for nine hours.
As long as you are dressed for it and you keep moving, you're pretty much OK. That, and you have to eat a lot of food.
