11. I had a huge Rose of Sharon at my last house

You may already know this, but they are pretty easy to propogate. A few of my neighbors took cuttings from mine and grew their own.

12. We keep the one by the front door trimmed so that it doesn't hit the truck when we back out...

...other than that, they're left to their own devices.

both photos are outstanding, and beautiful too. A couple of the hydrangea blooms look like delicate butterflies.

24. Our lavender started out as a tiny plastic pot and it's about 3' in diameter now.

That's AFTER trimming it out of the pathway. It's so close to full bloom that you can smell it from a distance. I'm expecting it to explode any day now.
