(32,078 posts)Wish we could get the Indian menu here, along with the McBeer. Even most crummy beer beats soft drinks any day.

(12,008 posts)The real travesty is the items that you can't get in other countries. For instance, you can't get McDonald's biscuits in the UK. They don't even know what biscuits are here. It's terrible. A real crying shame.

(81,197 posts)And the "McCurry Pan" - chicken and vegetables in a bread bowl - sheesh! Actually looks kinda yummy! And the Pasta Zoo - my kids would have loved that one!

(6,238 posts)I had them when my family visited Maine. They also had the best clam chowder I've ever had. Sadly, you can't get them in the South.

(78,249 posts)The various Middle Eastern wrap-style ones look good, too, and would translate fairly easily to the U.S.

(30,885 posts)It seems like there is an Indian restaurant within walking distance anywhere you are in Silicon Valley. When I worked at Cisco, the cafeteria closest to my building (right next door) had wrap-around food stations for sandwiches, burritos, etc, There was a "make your own sandwich bar" in the middle of the floor (you pick your bread, meats, cheeses, veggies, condiments, etc, and they weigh the sandwich to price it). Next to that was a "hot entree" section that had a rotating menu of things like beef stroganoff, etc. They eliminated that menu so that 5 days a week it was hot Indian food entrees only. Great move if you love Indian food. Not so great if you don't. I like the "blander" foods that are closer to an American palate (like tandoori chicken), but can't stand curry and some of the other spicier dishes. It's not just the heat, I can't stomach the taste or smell. That's just me...I'm not trying to influence what anyone else might like or dislike.

(78,249 posts)then again, the only restaurants of any kind within walking distance of here are a Subway, a Wienerschnitzel and a crappy Chinese takeout.

(3,813 posts)things different on the menu
was Fish sandwiches for breakfast
and a curry dipping sauce for the nuggets
but that was probably 15 years ago ...
KamaAina
(78,249 posts)Saimin (Japanese-style noodle soup) and Portuguese sausage (with rice!) for breakfast.

(36,257 posts)It's not on the menu anymore, but if you ask for it, they'll make it. Unlike McD's, the chicken doesn't taste like someone forgot to remove the plastic.

(27,247 posts)says that it is for a limited time only, starting in mid-November (so it probably is no longer available).

(249 posts)Not that some of those items don't look absolutely delicious, but I'm surprised they left out Germany's "Big Rosti" burger with the potato pancake on top.
But yeah, that Cordon Bleu burger (though maybe if you remove the beef) look absolutely scrumptious.
