(12,132 posts)Let's get those scores down...but I'll always be at least a 1 because unless it's jump or crash, I ain't planning to skydive.
but if I did, that would probably take care of break a bone too.
edit~ make that always a 2 - I don't think I'll ever give birth...I was in the room when my wife did and that was more than enough of that for me.

(18,402 posts)I mean, Im kinda proud never to have fired a gun or gotten a ticket. And zip lining is not my thing.
What if the list had included things like:
Read a Pulitzer or Nobel prize-winning novel
Baked a Sacher torte
Attended a symphony orchestra concert
Played lacrosse
Took mescaline
etc.
A person who scored well on the first list may have scored poorly on this one. Neither could be said to be more or less boring.
Im off to hear John Cale (Velvet Underground) this evening. But Ive never broken a bone. Does that make me a boring person?

Mine are:
fired a gun
skydiving
tattoo ( and my daughter is a gifted tattoo artist!)
karaoke
zipline
scuba
Of these I would like to go on a zip line I think they look like a ton of fun and advancing to scuba would be neat if I could afford it!

(23,078 posts)Think I broke my little toe one time but was told there's nothing to do about it so never saw a dr.
The other 3 are skydiving, tat and braces. We were too poor for me to have braces, although recommended, and skydiving isn't something I've ever been interested in. I have twice been in tattoo parlors to get a tattoo with my husband. He's gotten 3 and I've gotten zero - stupid fear of needles.
I've had a kinda interesting life and looking forward to traveling to more interesting places. Also want to try having big streaks of purple in my hair - maybe before I go visit my friend in Harlem?

(38,309 posts)Haven't been skydiving, haven't had braces, haven't gotten a tattoo, haven't given birth.
I have been bungee jumping and have suffered long dental procedures, if that counts.
I don't have any tattoos because I have a phobia about needles. Getting a simple flu shot is pushing my limits.
I was really good at skipping school even before I quit high school entirely. In college I was twice forced to take time outs, the first time for fighting with a teaching assistant. I once flunked organic chemistry because I could make a lot of money skipping class to move furniture.
My ear was pierced by a woman who was probably laying claim to me. It was our good fortune the spell didn't take. It was some very dangerous magic we were playing with.
It occurs to me the women in my life tend to have lower scores on this quiz than I do. There's a lot of ones and zeros among my siblings, relatives, and in-laws. For most of the ambulance rides they haven't been the patient.

So, 7 or 8 depending on the BB Gun answer.

never skydived ...but I have flown in a glider at +10,000ft thought I was going to throw up
never been scuba diving

no braces on my teeth
but I had an external fixator on my broken leg for weeks
and to be fair, the tattoo was temporary

But there are other exciting things (for me), competing in Dog Agility with my Layla, nothing like running the "mouth of the south" and trying to keep up on cueing her as she blasts through the course. Shelter called her litter Border Collie mix, I think they nailed it.

(15,535 posts)I think we could come up with a better list.
For instance, is dying one's hair really an exciting or especially dare devilish act?
Giving birth is only pertinent to one gender.
I considered myself having gone on a cruise, but it was one of those dinner cruises when vacationing in Hawaii.
Is skipping a class in college considered skipping school?
I've traveled out of the country but I live in the Detroit area and Canada is 20 minutes away, so I've been there many times.
For those of us who are older, braces were rather rare back in the day. Only the rich kids got them.
It was fun taking the test anyway.

(1,639 posts)No tattoos, no babies, no karaoke and no official massage. (That's what you mean, right?) I have never scuba dived or skinny dipped. I may never travel outside the country. [sigh] If there is a zip line out there that can hold my weight, hell, I'll give it a try.
I vaguely remember riding in a limo to my brother's wedding. And I have been near famous people, does that count? David Morse, from the show, St. Elsewhere, was waited on by the customer service rep next to me in the returns department at IKEA once.
I, meanwhile, was waiting on an obnoxious young woman who wanted a return on a balsa wood utensil holder costing all of $3. She had no receipt and the thing had soap scum and mold on the plastic bottom, but hey, she-just-bought-it-and-look-what-happened.
Tennis champion, Pam Shriver, was in a student group visiting the classroom that I was teaching in back in 1979. She looked right at me, and I was introduced by name to the group. Surely that must count? And Frances Nuyen once winked at me when we passed in the hall at a sci-fi convention. Wow, am I cool or what?
All the other things that I did do don't feel like that big a deal. Does getting a ticket make you a cool bad-ass when you cry for an hour and half afterwards because the cop yelled at you?
Silver Gaia
(4,542 posts)out of those, theres only one I'm planning to do someday, and one more that I might do or might combine with the other one. The rest are things I'm either GLAD never happened, didn't need to do or have, or have no desire whatsoever to do. I'm good with this score. No regrets!

(38,309 posts)Two of your stories must be true, one has to be fiction.
I might write about braces. I've never had braces myself but I could easily write about it because my children had braces and they did everything they could to make their misery my misery.
When their braces were finally removed, believe me, I was as happy as they were.
Given birth is just not possible I don't have the right plumbing.
