This setup is used for 'Rolling Coal': purposeful pollution as an act of anti-environmentalism and/or conspicuous climate change denialism.

These people... Sigh.

9. You don't roll coal by installing a stack exhaust

You roll coal by dumping more fuel into the engine than you have air to burn it. Stack exhaust systems reduce back pressure, which on a diesel leads to better fuel economy. Given that, most of the guys who install these things do it because they secretly wish they were really driving a Peterbilt.

Besides, installing a stack exhaust on a coal roller is completely counterproductive - how are you going to smoke out a liberal driving a Prius if your exhaust plume comes out ten feet above your head?

11. You know what's funny is that I drive a Prius. And at the red light, I zipped right by him.

on their pick-up trucks along with their Trump bumper stickers. Most of these guys are independent contractors or building sub-contractors of the sort that “Mr. Businessman” Donald Trump has screwed over by the dozen.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t celebrate people who’ve screwed over my colleagues.

5. Can they be ticketed for emissions violations?

Many states require an annual emissions test. This defeats the purpose. Seems like they should be ticketed.

6. There's a well paved section of country road out near me, and it is the place for coal roller racing

This was going on during the Iraq Invasion, 2003, and I went out there and watched a bit one day.

Trucks were jacked up, Star and Bars paintjobs (with a lot of eagles included), screaming down that road belching so much smoke the sky turned dark.

And it made me wonder if even a one of these patriots saw the irony. That while they're wasting just as much fuel as they possibly can, our soldiers are overseas killing and dying to keep the oil flowing.

If you off road in watery areas, having your exhaust on top prevents the chance of getting to deep and engine cut out. But...like a lot of people who buy four wheel drive vehicles, they never take them on dirt roads for fearing of scratching the paint job.
