I have dark hair, very dark, and some gray -- mainly in the front. I stopped covering the gray and I LOVE IT!!! Did this about 3 years ago at least.

Great smokey color is the result. IMO I think it softens my aging facial features. I am in my 70s. A friend of mine...two years younger...let her Lucile Ball red hair go gray and what a great change. Has hair that looks like Helen Mirren's -- same color and pageboy style.

Well, look at it this way: With self-isolation, who the hell is gonna see you anyhow????

I don’t even know how much gray have going on but this is the week I usually would have my hair cut and colored and I see it peeking through. I always said I would go gray once my kiddo was out of high school...don’t know why I drew that line in the sand but whatever. I’m an older mom...didn’t have the child until I was 41...maybe it’s that all his friend’s moms are at least 15 years younger than I. Oh well...what’s coming will come and we will meet it when it does.

So how to look professional while my hair is a mess is a challenge. Have already stocked up on "root touch up" but I've never done it myself, so...

I have never colored my hair, so I'm becoming lighter blonde as the years go by.

In the 1960s and 70s, living in California, it was a MUST to be blonde. So, I bleached my dark hair to a pale blonde.

You are right! Aging is making me the blonde I always wanted to be!!!

She's been dying her hair since she was 16. No one remembers what her original hair color was - probably an ash brown like mine. I suspect she will consider hair color to be an essential supply and go out to buy some.

I'm only a few years younger than her and I only have a few gray hairs mixed into the brown, Mom died at 97 and still had brown in her hair, so I think we both got some good hair color genes.

At over seventy, her bright blonde hair looks a little odd, though she still looks as if she's in her fifties. That's another thing Mom passed to us. In her mid-eighties, Mom looked twenty years younger than she was.

I had an appointment for a cut and coloring the week that the governor closed all non-essential businesses. My hair isn’t that long but the top looks a lot like that. Ugh. Fortunately (in a weird way), there is no where to go.

I am picky about having my nails done. My shop is closed. All I can think about are those press on nails that come off at the worst moments possible.

At my age it's starting to look kind of phony to still have brown hair but I didn't want to go around in public with gray roots, eventually very obvious ones. But since nobody is going to see me for God knows how long, I might as well go for it. By next year or whenever, when I finally crawl out of my bunker, my hair will be long and gray - and if I can stick to my diet I will also be thin, or at least not fat. I will have undergone a metamorphosis; not so much a caterpillar turning into a butterfly but more of a caterpillar turning into a different kind of caterpillar.
