Time to get back into training.
I was putting on a shirt for work yesterday morning, and it was getting a little tight around the waist. So, not having worked out in two whole months, I decided to start getting some daily exercise again.
I started slowly this afternoon with a little cardio and some weight-lifting. I don't think I added a milligram of muscle mass with that. But it's a start. I feel, physically, the best I have in two months.

(112,071 posts)I'll do enough drinking for the two of us tonight. I wouldn't want you to feel like you are letting down the rest of the gang (how noble of me).

(66,310 posts)I don't know how many calories are in that, but probably nowhere near as many as I consumed in alcohol form last night.
Just because I'm in training doesn't mean I don't want to step out a little once in a while...

I am not an al-cuh-all, burp.
I am not an alcoholic. I am looking for a convenient excuse to drink more this Saturday night and you provided me with one (enabler). Enjoy your cannabis tincture.

(17,267 posts)With the quarantine I have not been able to self motivate despite having bicycle machine, treadmill and hand weights at home. This past week I signed up with a trainer that meets me at a park twice a week. Amazing how good it feels to exercise again and being outside is an added bonus. The park is largely empty but I wear a mask and stand 12 feet away from the trainer 🙂

start moving around more. I gained enough weight to not fit into my jeans so I had to adjust my diet and start exercising. I lost 2/3 of it in three weeks but I still need to knock off some more. Now that winter seems to be over, cross my fingers, I can be outside more. I did plant seeds indoors that will go into the garden later... gardening is good for you and makes you work out one way or another but the reward is usually worth it.

(86,508 posts)i was down on the farm last year... not doing that again. I'm going to adjust to retired life a little more since nothing will be going on for a while. Guess I'll grow some food so I don't starve over the next long winter. I plan on doing some canning this year. It's all going to hurt but if I don't keep moving I'll be like the tin man on a rainy day.
And I confess, I have not done a damn thing all winter! And I ain't ashamed of it neither.
