hours and my skin had a kind of numb sensation for 2-3 days.

Rinse your hands in that and it will neutralize the capsaicin.

I can't believe I have to say this, but don't drink it, and don't rinse your eye with it.

I had a small baking business a few years and worked in a communal commercial kitchen. One of the other business washed and trimmed a whole lug of jalapenos and filled a giant sink with them in water. When they let the water drain out, it released a massive "cloud" of capsaicin fumes into the kitchen. I still have lung/breathing problems. Do not mess with these things!

Unbelievable agony.
I finally got the brilliant idea of filling a coffee cup with ice cold milk and, frankly, tea-bagging them. IT WORKED, thank God.
