No matter how much you overdo it with serrano peppers in your sandwich,

You can always make things worse by rubbing your eyes after you start crying.

Only with jalapenos instead.

2. I chopped a bunch of jalapenos while canning salsa one time without gloves. My hands burned for

hours and my skin had a kind of numb sensation for 2-3 days.

4. Next time, a spoonful of bleach diluted in water.

Rinse your hands in that and it will neutralize the capsaicin.

I can't believe I have to say this, but don't drink it, and don't rinse your eye with it.

6. LOL. Thanks for the warning. I'll try to refrain from drinking it or using for eyewash.

5. Ouch!

I had a small baking business a few years and worked in a communal commercial kitchen. One of the other business washed and trimmed a whole lug of jalapenos and filled a giant sink with them in water. When they let the water drain out, it released a massive "cloud" of capsaicin fumes into the kitchen. I still have lung/breathing problems. Do not mess with these things!

8. I was just gonna post the same thing!

Unbelievable agony.
I finally got the brilliant idea of filling a coffee cup with ice cold milk and, frankly, tea-bagging them. IT WORKED, thank God.
