Is Mike Tyson going to punch a shark?

For some reason, Mike Tyson is going head-to-head with 'Jaws' in a Shark Week special, and he says it helped conquer his fear of a much-hyped comeback

Mike Tyson is set to go toe-to-fin with the sea's apex predator as part of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel — because why not.

In a special episode dubbed "Rumble On The Reef" that airs on August 9, Tyson will "square off underwater" against a shark "in the name of research," reports Entertainment Weekly.

Though it's unclear how Tyson and the shark will interact, the boxing icon said he agreed to the show to help overcome his fears of making a comeback to the ring.

"I learned from this experience doing Shark Week that whatever intimidates me, I am still able to step up to the challenge of overcoming anything," Tyson said.

Absolutely disgusting.

I am so sick of celebrity culture and the exploit ANYTHING for $$$. I save even more contempt for the people who watch and encourage.

Respect nature and leave the damned sharks alone. Putting animal life at risk for the amusement of an audience is exploitative cruelty and nothing less.
