My wife mentioned this months ago. I would love to get one for her.
Any advice from DU scooterers?
Price? Mmmm Id like to keep it below $500. That seems to be a good starting point.
What do I need to know about volts?

(2,533 posts)Are you looking at mobility scooters like they use in stores or a powered wheelchair?. Or a actual 2 wheel scooter like a moped.
Once that is known it should help.

(937 posts)It has been great. It has a lot of power and zips along. I had to replace the battery when I left it plugged in waaaaayyyy too long on accident. Dont make that mistake. Was very easy to order and install new battery myself. Husband rides it all the time as well. Folds up. It is a lot of fun 👍🏻. Charges up fast and goes for as long as you would want per charge unless you are planning really long trips.

(14,118 posts)years ago I was outside my local post office when a lady zipped up on a battery-powered bicycle. I went over and talked to her for a bit, checking out the machine. She told me she bought it on the WalMart website for 300-350 bucks.
Just remember that bicycles, scooters and motorcycles are all hazardous to operate and require
a lot of attention by the operator. Also check your local vehicle ordinances to check on the classification
of electric bicycles/scooters and licensing requirements for vehicles and operators. There's a lot to
consider here.
