My Debit declined today (for gas; had just bought groceries.) Fortunately I have a credit card too.

7. I have had trouble with my debit card at the market.

Chip can't be read. Swiping did not work. Each time a manager was called and fixed the problem. I said sorry, she said it was them not me.

I have wondered how using so many Clorox wipes on my card would affect it.

9. i had issues with my debit card yesterday

and i definitely have enough money in my account. I chalked it up on the aftermath of the storm here in virginia. many places had problems with cards and only took cash. i had to swipe, it could not read the chip.

credit card and pay it off every month. Stopped using debit card a few years ago after a problem.

13. I had a crazy fraud transaction.

I ordered a copy of my birth certificate from the service that provides by mail for all states. $68, received in two days!

Then I realized I needed the long form, so I went back to the site (I thought) and ordered the long form.

A month later I realized it hadn't arrived yet, and so I queried the state.

They told me the place that had accepted my $$ online was NOT the legit service.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. An offshore copycat site.

I might get my $ back. Or might not.
