78 here yesterday. Big rain storm last night, colder and rainy weekend.
Temps usually in the mid to upper 70's. Monarch butterflies are migrating through the area. No crowds.
I had hoped to go this week, but waited too long to book a place because I was concerned about a late season hurricane given the busy hurricane season this year. By the time I was confident there wouldn't be a storm coming up the Atlantic, all the houses I was eyeing had been booked for this week. So, I had to come this week, instead.
Ah, well. Even a rainy day at the beach is better than being cooped up in my apartment, which is where I've been all summer.
Who knows? Maybe the rain will magically disappear. Just go away!

Head for Hilton Head. Some there now. While the rest of the families wear masks and practice distancing.
but decided yesterday that wouldn't be prudent. Our numbers are going up here in NC, too, after never really getting as low as I'd like to see them.
I haven't been to the hair or nail salon since February. I cancelled dental cleaning appointments. Do not go to the gym in my building or out to eat. In fact, I've only had take out once since February. I go to the grocery store about every 2-3 weeks. Everyone wears a mask. I have had meetings about the house I'm building, but everyone wearing masks.
Living alone I really miss opportunities to socialize. My goal was to live long enough to vote! Yay, I made it! Now my goal is to live long enough to move in to my new house before the end of the year, I hope. So I guess I can get by alone at the beach. At least it will be out of my apartment!

My Beautician only has one part timer so it has been safe to go for a hair cut once a month after she reopened. The Y pool reopened. So many signed up for classes they had to put a limit. We still distance but that water exercise really helps.
I envy you on the beach so enjoy it for me, too!
