I think my guy might be headed for a melt-down.

His son, along w/ his son's family (4 people) have been living on the second floor of the house.

Al just went up there to check the radiators... the place is a total pig stye. There's trash everywhere. They broke the ceiling fan in the center room, and the handle to the toilet is busted.

Also, we asked them not to take their kids trick-or-treating because of the pandemic. There's 2 stashes of Halloween candy up there. We did not want everyone in the house going door-to-door and being in contact with strangers. I haven't seen my Dad in 3 weeks due to the spike in cases in this state. I do that to keep him safe. I'm pretty upset that our house guests aren't doing what they can to keep US safe. (My guy has medical issues that could make a covid infection VERY serious.)

16 months they've been here. Time for them to go.

Lay down the rules with the clear message that if they are not kept they will have to leave.

Depending upon the law, you may have to go through an eviction process to get them out of your house. Sixteen months is a long time and they might be considered tenants at this point even if they have not paid rent. They talk about that a lot on Reddit when someone posts about some relative that they have taken in that now needs to be given the boot (generally for good cause).
