What actor or actress had a GREAT performance in an otherwise bad movie?

I'll pick one that you guys might not be familiar with:

Mia Kirshner in "The Black Dahlia"

- Terrible movie, but Mia Kirshner was great in the (very) few minutes of screen time she had.

...James Garner in "Tank"
...James Coburn in "Duck, You Sucker"
...Mercedes McCambridge in "Johnny Guitar" (Yeah, I know it's a "cult classic". It's still lousy.)
...Alan Rickman in "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves" (I actually like this film, but am bowing to majority opinion here.)
...Kenneth More in "Northwest Frontier"
...Stephen Boyd in "The Oscar"

People were just hung up on the LACK of an accent. Which I've started looking at movies set in ancient times since then and I've discovered that modern British or European accents are acceptable no matter the time period. Even Old English from Shakespeare's time wouldn't sound like that.
The Russel Crowe version was far worse. The oar driven LCVP's had me laughing out loud, especially since promos for the film said that it was going to be the "historically accurate" version!
And "Tank" is a great guilty pleasure!
