"'The Rum Tum Tugger' from Cats

John Partridge cracked me up, he was such a hoot!

We went to see Cats when my son was around 10 (23yrs ago). We all loved it.

The play had some really emotionally moving scenes in the last act, at least for me - when the old cat faced her mortality.

Have you seen it? Or the 2019 version? Both are excellent but in different ways.

To see it on tour at the historical Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, NY. It was absolutely amazing, I bought the cassette set and we played, sang and danced to them until they stopped working. It's still a big favourite to see snippets of on YouTube so thanks for sharing.

While each cat's story and purrsonae was very interesting, Grizabella had such a deeply touching one that, while sad, the end where she was chosen was actually very uplifting for us as cat lovers and rescuers.

Missed being able to audition for it once because I was leading the orchestra pit instead. I half loved, half hated the movie version. It was too uneven, with a couple of the cats being ego-trips for the actors, or the segments just badly done. The movie would’ve been better if they’d ended up on the cutting room floor.

Thanks!

There were parts I loved but thought some should've been left out.

I've replayed this performance at least a dozen times. He cracks my hubby up too.
Me: Hey hon, can you do that?
Hubby: But he can't do what I do either.

During the tenth anniversary of the Broadway opening. I enjoyed it, but I'm a musician of multiple genres.
