All orange SEC teams:
Clemson
Auburn
Florida
Tennessee

Plus, I cannot wear orange. Ugh. The University of Tennessee orange is particularly heinous.

I hated orange back then. Plus I lived in the middle of Florida orange producing country - My Dad owned some groves and every December we had to go pick oranges to send to relatives up north. I hate the smell of both orange blossoms and oranges themselves and I can't stand drinking orange juice.

Dad gave us kids the orange groves years ago and as long as he was alive we kept them. He died in 2013 and we finally sold them last year. I celebrated.

Thankfully, 2021 will be blue instead of orange!

I am looking forward to celebrating my birthday in 2021 without having to hear on the news and read online that it’s the Velveeta Voldemort’s birthday too. That has really sucked since 2016.

We just have to make it to Inauguration Day!

I am not going to the family Thanksgiving or Christmas get togethers. With a few right wing in laws and a bunch of kids, I don't need the exposure. With all the kids I often come down with something after the holidays most years and I refuse to take the chance this year.

I hope your next birthday is a much happier one. 2020 has been terrible and the years before it were just foreshadowing.

I love the scent of them, but, growing up here in Phoenix, the scent of orange blossoms is the harbinger of HELL, otherwise known as summer.

I can understand not liking them due to your experiences with having to be forced labor with orange trees.
I cannot stand figs due to the same reason!

A close friend of my Dad's was a Vietnamese refugee. His first job in the States was picking blueberries.
He gets sick from the smell of blueberries to this day.
Scent really is a powerful memory trigger....

I tend to dislike it, as I look HORRIBLE in it.

Plus, I just really don't like it. It's not one of the colors I gravitate to.

However, "Orange" is the unofficial color of the Dutch people (because of the Princes of Orange, it's a long and complicated but fascinating history I encourage you to read up on!) It was the color of the Dutch resistance against the Nazis in WW2.

I have zero Dutch ancestry, but I did my master's thesis on Dutch art, and I grew to love them as a people. It was one of the greatest weeks of my life to tour their beautiful country and experience it firsthand.

So, "orange" also symbolizes tolerance, resistance, and bravery.
