"All this was inspired by the principle—which is quite true within itself—that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods." ~ Mein Kampf

The origin of the Big Lie theory often attributed to Goebbels on the interwebs (for which there's no actual original source).

Witness a few:

Trump is a 'great' President...
Trump was never helped by Russia...
Trump never extorted Ukraine...
Trump always pays his bills....
Trump is a real Billionaire...
Trump is a real estate savant and business genius...

The Earth is 6,000 years old...
Climate Change is a Chinese hoax, as too is the COVID-19 pandemic...
Masks are an imposition on their 'rights'...

That's enough...just fuck these imbeciles in the ass with rusty garden hoe and when they get tetanus and are dying, tell them to pray it away like its 'teh ghey'....

How do we keep our Democratic Republic when one party convinces big chunks of its supporters that our elections are illegitimate and the results don’t need to be accepted?

We don't. This country is heading to a schism if one half of its people insist on living in a propaganda-induced, science-denying fog.
Especially when they have exposed themselves as having no interest in upholding the Constitution or the law anyway. Fuck 'em. Good riddance of bad trash.

All it is going to take is a territorial exchange of a 50-mile wide section of northern Montana and North Dakota, to create a contiguous border of "Blue" America stretching from the Rio Grande headwaters to the Pacific Coast, along the Canadian border to the Great Lakes. The eastern seaboard from Maine to Georgia will be made whole by a similar territorial exchange giving the Neo-Confederacy parts of western-Virginia and western-North Carolina in exchange for coastal South Carolina and the Outer Banks.

The Neo-Confederacy will also get the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Keys.

Say hello to the 21st century's version of Haiti and the Dominican Republic...or India and Pakistan....or Norther Ireland and Ireland...or Israel and Palestine...

I will be a little sad to leave my St. Louis home...but fuck if I am staying in the Confederate States of America when it happens....California, here I come!

70% of 47% is 33%. One Third of us are Democrats/ One third swing. One third hardcore GOP.

Horrifying, yes, but really core of the GOP. T'was ever thus...
