7. There are ways to make tofu delicious

Press some of the liquid out with a weight on it for a while. Then soak it in a mushroom and soy sauce marinade for a day or two. Then bake it so it gets firm. You will be surprised at how great it tastes. A delicious snack.

6. I introduced a Tofurkey

To our family Thanksgiving one year. None of the vegetarians, including me, cared for it. But I recall it was kind of pricey, so I choked it down over the next few days. But tofu as tofu... especially baked...i like.

Firm tofu has very little water in it to start with so great for sauteing.
If you've never had it- yeah, it has a mild bean like taste but it absorbs flavors easily. In general easy to get used to, and experiment with.
I've prepared it and cooked w it for a long time.

Tofu is far better than zucchini which to me is a weird, semi-gelatinous, low-nutrition, cardboard flavored trash veggie.

10. Shop for tofu, Nestle's semi-sweet chocoalate chips, a graham cracker pie crust...

and vanilla extract. With a blender this all equals a splendid chocolate mousse-like pie.

Drain the water off the tofu, Melt the chips in a sauce pan of water (concoct a double pan with a smaller one for the chips to not get wet), crumble up the tofu in the blender, pour in the melted chocolate chips, a few dashes of the vanilla extract, turn the blender on to liquify, pour the mix into the pie crust and refrigerate.

When solid, cut into pie wedges, top with a dollop of whipped cream if you like and serve.

It'll disappear quickly as it tastes like chocolate mousse and no one will know it's tofu unless you tell them.
