PBS World has had programs on this month highlighting their culture from history to today. Wish we would take time to learn other cultures. I think it would change attitudes n appreciate our diversity.

..the knowledge and respect for the identiy to really capture their spirit while article, Powerful Portraits of Native Americans Highlight Their Spirit and Cultural Identity [Interview By Jessica Stewart [November 27, 12020] provided at link eloquently describes how he works with his subjects to capture that essense of spirit.

Yet. before I read article [btw thanks for link!] ..it was apparent that the photographer [Varjabedian] had a genuine love for the community, culture. So was not suprised after reading his biography [embedded in article] along with his link to his website..that he expresses his artistic spirit in all that he does.

Really enjoyed post. Just sent to my older son who is a photographer as well. Thank you. Paz.

I always feel sad when I think about what my white race did to these proud people. It makes me sick.

But not just cute.

The people in every one of these pictures, even the cute little girl, have the solemn dignity of a people who have had everything taken from them but still have hope and strength.

These are really good pictures.
