On that walk with Sylvia, she finally realized that the sculpting hammer could only be placed. By Jonathan and she told Sylvia to tell the prosecuter about the phone call from Jonathan’s mother.

When she told Harry she would do whatever is best for Henry, she did.

The prosecutor could well have interviewed Sylvia on her own accord. In a real case, they would have.

The one unbelievable part was that the lawyer allowed Kidman to take the stand. There was nothing to be gained and everything to lose.

And he seemed guilty from the beginning, so it wasn’t a shock. When he blamed his own kid, I knew he was capable of anything.

That he had hired the murderer as there was all this foreshadowing about how rich and powerful and ruthless he was, and he was hell bent on destroying the marriage. The mom in England didn't convince me because she was kind of a jerk, correcting Grace's grammar on the facetime call. I figured he hadn't shown much emotion to her growing up because she wasn't nurturing to him. We only heard her side of things. The hammer made no sense at all. When did he have the chance to go to the beach house and hide it? He had to drive all the way to Lake George! I think the writers got it all wrong, serving up a cliche and completely missing the chance for a dramatic confession speech by Sutherland at the end.

Then after the conversation with the mother in England, I thought how ironic it would be that she raises a son who also becomes a sociopath, when she finds the hammer in the son's violin case.

I was ready for it to be anybody but him. I'll never be able to watch another Hugh Grant movie and think the same about him. He was really good. Especially in the car with the son at the end.
