are the nadir of an intelligent, contemplative society? Just walk across the damn street ya needy goob. You dont have to tie up the intersection for four takes.

"Influencer", indeed. Fuck off. They seem sad to me.

But a friend, whose also a former colleague was telling me about her trip to Morocco last year.
She and her family hiked up to a historic spot. People who need help can go up by donkey.
@ some spots there were girls in ankle length sun dresses & giant hats having pics taken. (Influencers) she was so disgusted bc theres no way one could hike up with all that, she figured they rode up. Besides its out of place.
I hope there's a shelf life to this, and the pandemic has really shut it down a fair amount. No one wants to see "im traveling and standing in front of things" right now. Its wrong.

(1,200 posts)I have read gen z, the very youngest amongst us are not that impressed with the traditional influencer image (girls standing in front of things, being color coordinated w background).
We shall see. I like to think that generation is really just HAD it with so much of our collective posturing (climate, guns, politics, pop culture) they wil become counter-culture.
A funny quote i saw "imagine instagram goes away, poof you're no longer a model". Brillant.
