Piersons (sp) puppeteers from Larry Nivens Known Space series.
They were 4 legged and had "hand mouth" heads which they used to manipulate things. Cant remember for sure, but I think their brains were in their torsos?
Anyway, that was my favorite dancing robot. It would have been cooler if theyd programmed it to "sing" more of the song. I loved the "ballerina" step where its legs crossed and it rapidly moved them.
