1. Is anybody old enough

to remember where "Unchained Melody" REALLY came from?

14. Original movie title UNCHAINED (makes sense)

It's funny, the movie set looks more like an army barracks at first glance to me

3. Good. Had some tough moments and some really good ones.

Better than I expected.

7. There is a risk with "almost accapella" nowhere to hide or blend in to the soaring parts

Now listening to the older versions, I find the excessive music distracting.

Still like the vocals, though.

15. I finally understood that pottery scene in the Naked Gun

I knew it had to be a reference to something else.

6. It's like he took the best of Sam Cooke version and Righteous Brothers version then stripped it down

16. That performance by Bobby Hatfield is one of the best live performances

of straight up singing that exists,IMO. No special effects on the vocals, just pure talent. He masters the highs, the lows, and the dynamics - and he made it seem effortless.

17. Yeah, loved the Hatfield vocals, but the music sounded cheezy, not needed. nt

19. Fine for the time and tech... but it's like how Chaplin shines in black and white silent movies.

After just seeing a pared back version and hearing Hatfield's vocals, I wondered how his would sound without the extra drama in the music kind of competing with his voice. If that makes any sense.

I get frustrated sometimes when music drowns out vocals anyway. Just a pet peeve of mine.

But I learned a few things.

23. The Righteous Brothers did a mighty fine job for me and my generation

but this is a nice cover. Indeed the original was probably one of the first big time love songs for us teenagers back in 1965.

Did you know that the Righteous brothers were so named by an old African-American man after a performance one night in their early days - he said 'that was righteous brothers' amd their name was born!

25. Bobby Hatfield's live performance on Andy Williams Show is

even greater than the recorded version.

Breathtaking vocal performance.
