What a find!

The only one missing is the dog, looking imploringly at the human, thinking "Would you get off that thing?"

3. Along the exact same line...I recall a scene from "Startrek" "....Beam Me Up Scotty..

...Something about talking into a hand held computer...I said to myself when I saw that, "That will never happen"....(1966 or 1967).............................Well guess what?...I have lived to see that happen...I don't use it much, but Ithink I have one...we call them "cell phones" but they are also computers...

4. I miss sitting by the phone in the evening to make formal planned calls.

Phone calls were taken more seriously by both parties. It could be a little like writing a letter. You loose something in being able to call people hands free at the grocery store.

Also, before cell phones and voice mail you did not screen calls. The phone rang and it was answered.

If you suddenly put someone from before cell phones in a cell phone world it would be very upsetting.

5. 1920s were just when phones were becoming popular in homes

and somebody was already foreseeing pocket-phones. wow
