Often, you'll see a lamp or wall-art used to give the speaker a "halo."

you can see the angle of his upper arms barely expand out of the frame. That's the evidence that he's really there. Sadly, though, you are correct in that they would believe it is only a picture of him and that the points I made are merely air brushing to make it look like he's really there.

And I saw one guest on MSNBC earlier this week who was standing in front of s curved frame - and it made him look like he had horns! LOL. And MSNBC just showed this exact photo on their early news - said it's from The Washington Post. They really should be paying attention to these things!
