"Waitress"
It's just a very fun, quirky movie in which Keri Russell plays this waitress living in a small town with an asshole husband and a shitty life. She's trying to find a way to escape her miserable life mainly by hopefully winning a pie baking contest. Seems she has a gift for making pies. Of course to spoil her escape she finds out she got pregnant by her asshole husband.
Andy Griffith plays the owner of the Pie Restaurant where our heroine works. Seems the other waitresses find him annoying but Keri puts up with him and forms a very special relationship with him.

The film is very endearing, witty and does have a very happy ending although with a sad twist. Adrienne Shelly, who plays the socially awkward waitress, was also the writer and director of the movie. She was murdered a few months before the film was released and her only child had a very small role in the movie. But the movie was a great role for Andy Griffith and just loved his ornery character he played. He was a bit of a 'dirty-old-man' but very paternal towards Keri Russell's waitress character.
