I hate those fucking things, low contrast, fuzzy photos do not get along well with poor eyesight. Neither do the cockeyed words in weird script surrounded by a soup of stray marks.

I wish they'd come up with another type of security theater.

There is no workaround for the nearly blind.

I can generally cope on a computer screen, scroll+ctrl works on those damned things, too. Phones need an audio workaround.

It wants you to pick something that hangs partially into another frame, albeit by a small amount. I’m never sure if I’m supposed to pick that one too, since the 🚦 or whatever, has just a corner there. 🙄

A tiny bit of the traffic light will spill over into another square for example.

Notice they always seem to relate to traffic? I suspect we're being used to teach AI systems to negotiate traffic.

which is why I called it security theater.

The only things captcha will weed out are people with less than perfect eyesight.

Some of the squares have segments of a motorcycle in them, but no square has more than one motorcycle in it. So if I’m asked to select all the squares containing motorcycles, that would be none, which isn’t much of a captcha.
