Friday Night Sobriety Thread. One more night on-call.

3. I knew a guy that drove for a private transportation company that used to sit at our

Eagles lodge and drink while on call. He got away with it for awhile. One night a client called for a ride and smelled it on him. The client had called the cops right away but they couldn't find his car. It was parked out back at the lodge because he came back to finish his beer. He even made it home somehow without being spotted. He was fired the next day. It was incredible luck he didn't get a DUI. That lodge is right downtown.

12. I am off call forever.

I retired as of March 31st. 45 years as a peds nurse practitioner turned out to be long enough, so I have hung up my stethoscope.

I have taken all the alarms off m cell phone, and unless I am at the vet’s office with one of our cats, I’m never discussing poop ever again!
