Advise on packing

My mother have this nativity scene made of mother of pearl and 14 cart good. I have become caretaker of all the good China and this scene and I am cleaning this stuff up and reinstalling it for storage in good solid plastic bins instead of the boxes they have been placed. My question mother of pearl is so delicate we have these figures wrapped in cloth. I would like to wrap them in bubble wrap. Would that be okay or should I buy new cloth to wrap the items in?

In addition to some of the tips already given, I would suggest some using some silica gel Arkansas Granny Apr 2021 #9

I’ve always heard silk or soft cloth was the way to go FWIW, but also pay attention to the humidity of the location you’re storing them in. It shouldn’t be too dry.

Bedroom closet. Again in a plastic bin so if anything happens the bin doesn't break easily

I'd like a soft cloth like chamois or flannel directly on the figures but then bubble wrap over it.
I don't like plastic bubble wrap directly on the figures because I would be concerned that it might stick to the figures and damage it.

Another idea: post this in the Artists group and see what they say. Artists might have learned the best way to wrap delicate art work for shipping or storage.

to absorb humidity. It's widely available in stores or online.
