They do festivals etc. In Germany.

Their most famous video is the one posted in the OP.

Weird ladies but their dance is famous in Germany apparently.

i do believe i could actually do that dance. and now that my kids are grown and gone i rarely have a chance to indulge in costumery.
tho i did have fun this halloween, and picked up a very witchy black dress.

start a petition maybe.

11. well, i assume they are at least

their sunday best.

i loved halloween when my kids were little. esp when they were very little and had no opinion on the whole, strange idea. loved it when i was a kid, too. a lot of years i had 2 costumes, cuz there were rules about what you could wear in catholic school. we were poor. there was no such thing as a store bought costume in my house. if you had to have a mask, you needed to earn some money.

but when they were little, it was one of 2 times a year i got to use my spend art school education. the other was xmas cookies.
i had 5 kids, so i did get some use out of it, tho not for the 1st one. mine was easy- pretty much always a clown.
but i have recently learned how many witches are in my family tree, so yeah, i can do this.

... there is normally full participation, no onlookers and those dresses are for everyday use . I miss it so, and do not really believe we can do a full camp this summer either......

23. The Witch Dance - by the Wolf Hunter's Coven

https://www.amandalinettemeder.com/blog/witch-dance-the-wolfshger-hexenbrut-peter-fox-and-the-new-dance-craze

Every year, women and men get together to celebrate the seasons, host gatherings, dance, and have a good time.

But at the end of April, the women of Wolfshδger Hexenbrut (in English: The Wolf Hunter's Coven), located in Wolfshagen im Harz, Germany, do something a little different.

They get together to celebrate Walpurgis, a holiday celebrating fertility, celebrations including lots of dancing, foods, and drinking, which usually occurs every year on April 30th.

However, in 2016, their celebrations included a choreographed dance to Schόttel deinen Speck, in English: Shake Your Bacon, by German Reggae-Pop artist, Peter Fox, in 2008.

The dance went viral once posted to YouTube -

See their dance video here:

LOTS more videos depicting how popular this celebration and dance routine have become - including in the US at Halloween - at the link.

I've seen it as an overnight thing, along with celebrating 'May Day' on May 1st and the beginning of spring with young pretty nymphs dancing round the May Pole.
