But a version that worked - usually one that ends with .jpg. I figured that out after we couldn't use Photobucket anymore (which I'd learned about on DU). The only issue is that you can't change the size, like we could with Photobucket.
and get a menu where one entry says 'Search Google for Image'.
Then click on the first pic in the results and you'll see tons of copies of the same pic all over the internet.
You just have to find one that either has a .jpg or .gif extension (those are the ones DU knows how to handle/display in a post), right click and Copy Image Address. Or rather I do it the other order, right click pics, copy, and paste that link into the browser bar. If it's jpg/jpeg/gif it will PROBABLY work on DU.
Some links won't work because of how the software on the site it appears on is set up. Deep linking may not be possible, and DU needs a site that allows deep links to work to display pics from it on the forum. This is trial and error though. The DU preview button is helpful.
If you can find a copy on a hosting site like Imgur those should work.
Here's one I found on imgur through the above means.
